VALORANT Roster Update: Manneten

If you’ve been following us on our social media platforms, it’s no secret that Manneten is on a bootcamp with us. So, we’d formally like to announce that Manneten will be replacing PHYRN, as PHYRN decided to step down from the roster due to struggling to find a balance between playing fulltime and keeping his school in check.

We respect PHYRN’s decision and wish him good luck for his future endeavours and thank him for his services. Replacing PHYRN was a difficult task since he had gelled very well with the team’s style of play. So we were looking for someone who can click with our gameplay while adding his own energy and skills to it. EPZZ, LATEKS and sebbz already knew a well known Overwatch player who’s also synonymous with insane aim shots. We decided to give Manneten a chance and things ticked off well!

Here’s what the IGL and the Coach has to say on the latest signing: IGL, LATEKS: “PHYRN decided to take a break from competitive play to focus on university. Both me and EPZZ knew Manneten from our time in Overwatch and he’s an irl friend of sebbz. We gave him a shot and things clicked instantly. He’s a very calm player that brings a lot of experience and maturity to the team.”

Team coach, sebbz: “I have played with Manneten since the start of beta both with infected and YaB and I know how much of a hard worker he is, he also has a lot of experience coming from the top Overwatch scene and has always had insane aim, I’m very hyped to have Manne onboard”

Here’s our final VALORANT lineup:
Sebastian ‘sebbz’ Fredriksson – Coach
Oliwer ‘LATEKS’ Fahlander – IGL
Tim ‘Manneten’ Bylund
Linus ‘Limpone’ Wecksell
Gabriel ‘shew’ Gessle
Andreas ‘EPZZ’ Vallvingskog

The VALORANT Team’s Bootcamp will mark their first appearance together as a team. The bootcamp was crucial since we had a minor shuffle in the roster. We decided to bring in Manneten as a replacement for PHYRN, as PHYRN decided to step down from the roster due to motivational issues and struggling to find a balance between playing fulltime and keeping his school in check. The bootcamp commences on 14th of September and ends on 20th of September 2020.

Here’s what the coach and the captain has to say about the bootcamp:
Team coach, sebbz: “This bootcamp will be a great head start for us on the new meta and to build some more team chemistry. We’re stoked about this opportunity and can’t wait to show our progress in the coming weeks!”
IGL, LATEKS: “It feels good to finally be able to meet all my teammates in person and get some quality progress done this week. As we also just got Manneten into the team it’s also important for us to get a jump on practice to get ahead of some lost time.”

Here’s the current roster:
Sebastian ‘sebbz’ Fredriksson – Coach
Oliwer ‘LATEKS’ Fahlander – IGL
Tim ‘Manneten’ Bylund

Thank You SKADE Female

Since the beginning of our entry into esports, we have been committed to the community of CS:GO. When we created SKADE, we knew that CSGO Female would figure in our plans as there was a lot of community buzz and tournament support. kezziwOw, Hedje, ZAna-th, Flutura and Psycho have shown great resilience and passion when representing SKADE as a brand and a team in the EU esports community. We are indebted to their competitive spirit and the way in which they always professionally conducted themselves during their time here.

“Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic the female esports scene was hit real hard as partners and sponsors backed out due to a lack of events. Making it really hard for organizations to sustain lineups during this time. Which lead to our working relationship with the female roster to an end. From everyone at SKADE – I would like to thank the SKADE Female players for all their constant hard work and effort. We wish them the best of luck for their future!”

Daglig leder i SKADE, Kim Erik Aanes stemmer i.

Official Announcement: European Finals of Metal League Pro

As many of you are aware, amid ongoing tense atmosphere in Belarus due to the elections, Internet connectivity has been disrupted across the country since earlier today. This meant at least 3 out of 4 players were unable play in the European Finals of Metal League. We reached out to the admins of Heavy Metal Machines and explained them the gravity of the situation. But after a lot of back and forth discussions, we received a ‘technical loss’, which we accepted with a heavy heart. Everyone at SKADE including the players were stoked on reaching the EU finals but due to these unforeseen circumstances we were unable to play in the finals.

Kim-Erik Aanes, CEO: “Just like everyone else at SKADE, I was really keen to a great final of the EU Metal League PRO. So getting a default loss based on circumstances that our players had no control of doesn’t feel too good. But finishing the tournament in the 2nd place is still a great result and I am confident that the boys will get their revenge in the coming season.”

Anton Prikhodko Olegovych, team captain: “It’s not how we had imagined the final will go down especially after all the hard work we put in to reach here. In such situations, where nothing depends on us, it remains only not to get nervous once again. However, we will come back stronger next season and try to win it.”

– Team SKADE💙

Welcome Psycho!

Our Female CS:GO team’s latest recruit is Esmee Pauw a.k.a Psycho! She’s built a name for herself with her remarkable aim and lightning fast reflexes. Previously she has been on the rosters of Rivals EU, Singularity and Spirifex, among others.

This 22-year-old from Amsterdam will be replacing Anja ‘Annja’ Vasalic on the team. While the decision to replace Annja was a difficult one, however it had to be done after some careful consideration. We’re confident that she will bring a fresh perspective, commitment and a willingness to think in new ways.

“I have a lot of faith in the team. We understand our strengths and weaknesses, and no one is overconfident.” said Psycho.

Cassandra ‘kezziwOw’ Héjja, Team Captain added, “Sometimes changes have to be done to acquire five people that truly have the same motive, and with the addition of Esmee I think we have finally achieved that.”

The updated roster will start playing together in the Ambush Female Summer Cup on the 8th of August. Don’t forget to support us; you don’t want to miss this tournament, stacked with the best teams in Europe, it’s surely going to be entertaining! Here’s the final roster:

Cassandra ‘kezziwOw’ Héjja (IGL)
Hege ‘Hedje’ Botnen
Ana ‘ZAna-th’ Queiroz
Eda ‘Flutura’ Mutu
Esmee ‘Psycho’ Pauw
